Thankfully there’s Play as you Download Sony UK’s Fergal Gara sat down with Eurogamer to discuss all things PlayStation 4 where it was revealed that Killzone: Shadow Fall is coming in at nearly 50GB. Specifically Gara was talking about the PlayStation Network and growing demand of downloadable games. “First of all, it is definitely going to grow as a means of consumption. The Xbox console versions ofBaldur’s Gate 3are on their way. And it looks like the optimizations made for the Xbox Series S version ofBG3may have some benefits for other platforms, too. Larian Studios head Swen Vinckeshared a look at some graphsfor the upcoming port ofBaldur’s Gate 3. Notably, the graphs highlight how the optimizations being made are addressing an overallBaldur’s Gate 3speedbump: memory. “Ensuring memory is well under control and having buffer for peaks was the main thing holding us back I think this will benefit all platforms too,” Vincke writes....

Nice As I’ve said many times, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 backward compatibility feature on Xbox One is pretty awesome. It’s been very smooth so far, with one caveat — you need to purchase Xbox 360 titles online, or on the actual 360 marketplace. Right now, you can’t actually buy legacy content on the Xbox One. Given how well Microsoft’s online storefront works it’s not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to see one day....

Game + expansion pass As you know by now, first-party Nintendo games rarely go down in value in the first few years of their existence. The same can be said aboutPokemon SwordandShield, which is still rolling with a $60 MSRP. It looks like the upcoming “complete editions” are going to be using that same tactic.
