How to unlock Companions in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Before you can make use of the characters and their Abilities, you’ll need to be able to invite them on your adventures around Friendship Isle. There is no set point for when you can do this, as each character can become a companion once youreach a certain level of friendshipwith them:
*Kiki and Lala will always join you as joint companions, and completing the quest mentioned above will allow you to have two companions at any one time.

When it comes to Abilities, most characters have two different Abilities that unlock at different times when you progress. Once you’ve unlocked both, they will automatically apply when the character joins you as your Companion. A character must be your Companion for their Ability to have any effect.
