We may not know exactly when the PlayStation Vita is launching in North America, but Square Enix has confirmed thatArmy Corps of Hellwill be launching alongside Sony’s forthcoming handheld. The story centers around the King of Hell. Having recently been defeated in battle and stripped of his powers, the King enlists an army of goblins to regain his lost throne. Naturally, bloodshed ensues.

If you thinkthe gameplaybears resemblance toPikmin, it isn’t merely coincidental. The title is being developed by Entersphere, a company founded by former Nintendo employees, including one of the writers behind thePikmingames,Motoi Okamoto. Having left the company after working onWii Fit, it looks like Mr. Okamoto is giving fans of the GameCube RTS what they’ve been clamoring about for years now. Except in a much, much gorier package — which is perfectly fine by me.
