Beat out Witcher 3 and Arkham City
A reminder thatArkham Knighthas “Batman” in the name andno volley of excoriating 7/10 reviews(or broken PC ports) can do it harm: Rocksteady’s newBatmanis the top-selling game of 2015 in the UK by its first week sales, beating outThe Witcher 3, which did 4 millionworldwide its first two weeks(and likely near 200,000 its first week in the UK).
Note that this only includes physical copies (reportedly67% sold on PS4, 33% on Xbox One) and, of course, is just for the UK.Arkham Knightalso beat outCity(which sold 2 million worldwide its first week), butCityreleased on a Friday in the UK andKnighton a Tuesday. Point is, it’s doing alright, innit?
It marks another (monetarily) successful launch for Warner Bros. followingDying Light, Mortal Kombat XandLego Jurassic World.
