Those wondering about the road ahead forDestiny 2and its next expansion might be getting some answers next month. Bungie has announced a newDestiny 2showcase for Jul 21, 2025.
All we’ve got so far isone cryptic tweetwith the tagline “survive the truth.” It’s been a while for me, so I’ll let theDestinylore experts pick apart what else this image might be teasing.

What will be interesting to see is the road ahead forDestiny 2, now that its upcoming expansionThe Witch Queenhas beenpushed back to 2022. Last year, Bungie mapped out two years ofDestiny 2content, with a bunch of features and narrative efforts planned acrossThe Witch Queenand the expansion to come after that,Lightfall.
Destiny 2, andDestinyas a whole, has kept on moving and evolving over the years, so it’s always neat to see how Bungie is going to keep the experience alive and changing. We’ll see if the roadmap can rope me back in, but either way, I’m looking forward to seeing whatever Bungie is planning for the future ofDestiny 2.
