Path of Exile 2‘s Dawn of the Hunt brings a cool new quest in the form of The Hunt Begins, and it’s a mini mission to enjoy on the side.
It’s not mandatory to complete the quest, but I don’t recommend skipping it. Besides, this guide will provide you with all the important details you need to complete the quest.

How to start The Hunt Begins quest in Path of Exile 2
In the first Act, you’ll come across a character calledDelwyn. He can be found in The Grelwood, and it’s also the first time that you’ll encounterAzmerian Wisps. The Hunt Begins has three sub-parts.
Track the Spirit
You’ll notice a yellow spirit moving away from you after speaking with Delwyn. The spirit will attempt to create a gap and escape, so you’ll have to chase it down. If it manages to escape, the quest will fail, and you’ll have to start over (more about this later).
Defeat the Hunted Monster
If you manage to chase the spirit successfully, it will attach to a monster and become the Hunted Monster. Defeating the monster isn’t a difficult task, but make sure to dodge its attacks. The quest will progress once the enemy has been defeated.
Speak to Delwyn
Go back to speak with Delwyn after defeating the Hunted Monster to complete the quest. There are no rewards for your work, but you’ll be introduced to the Azmerian Wisps as part of the quest. You can also complete this mission whenever you want, as it’s not part of the main quest line.
What happens if you fail The Hunt Begins
If you either fail to chase the spirit or die at the hands of the monster, you’ll have to start over. Go to Clearfell Village and generate a fresh instance of Grelwood.
The new update has also added afresh set of mystery boxesfor you to open and obtain some unique cosmetics for your character, general decoration, and pets.
