Iron Banner, Menagerie, tributes fixed

Welp, the lads finally did it. Over a month ago Bungie explained, as they often do, that they wouldn’t get around to nerfing a specific meta-dominant weapon (the Lord of Wolves shotgun) until later in the summer. That time is now.

The nerf headlines update 2.5.2, which reduces the efficacy of the Shotgun Scavenger perk on the gun and decreased its range. A number of other exotic bugs (mostly armor) were also fixed. In terms of other housekeeping a bunch of modes and mechanics were tweaked, most notably tributes.Destiny 2players have been speaking out against several triumphs (in-game achievements of a sort), and now the requirements for The Emperor’s Gladiator and The Scoundrel in Uniform have been relaxed (no need for a full Leviathan gear set).

The Iron Banner objectives are also a hell of a lot easier to hit in a few cases, with a 50% reduction in grenade kill requirements (with ally kills counting as a full kill), and sword requirements reduced by 25% (with the same ally buff). The Heroic Menagerie (the newest big mode inDestiny 2) will now drop a sword 100% of the time on your first run, which is a mechanic I hope spills over into the rest ofDestinygoing forward.

So yeah! It’s mostly cleanup as Bungie prepares for the upcomingShadowkeepexpansion in September.
