Does not play well with others
It’s been a long, longtime, but we’re now only a short month away from the launch of Nexon’s plucky underdog fighterDNF Duel.Following on from an array of character trailers and a semi-successful beta test, the great-looking punchfest will finally launch on PlayStation and PC platforms June 28.
To help keep the fans’ hype fires stoked, Nexon released ashort new trailertaking a look at the title’s single-player options. Those of you who don’t feel like throwing down with friends or strangers in rollback-based online matches will instead be able to lock horns with the CPU inFree Battle(essentially Offline Vs.),Arcade Mode, in which your chosen character takes on a series of player-chosen opponents, andSurvival, where you can test your mettle against an endless run of enemies, cashing out your score for a variety of health, damage, and meter buffs between fights.
These all seem like mighty fine ways to get acquainted withDNF Duel‘s exciting roster of characters.
In addition to the above modes, it should be noted thatDNF Duelalso includes itsown individual Story Mode, which uses comic book-style panels and a rotational cast of characters to tell a new chapter in theDungeon Fighter Onlineuniverse. Once you’ve held your own in these offline battles, I would not be surprised if you do not have a potential main character or two and will perhaps be getting ready to step up to plate for one of DNF Duel’s rollback netcode-powered showdowns.
DNF Duellaunches June 28 on PlayStation and PC platforms. And while you wait for its impending arrival, you have enough time to check out the character trailers forBerserker,Grappler,Hitman,Inquisitor,Striker,Ranger,Dragon Knight,Vanguard,Kunoichi,Crusader, andGhostblade.
