Klei Entertainment said itwas looking intobringingDon’t Starveto PS Vita and the studio confirmed today that it’s moving forward with the port. This version will launch with theReign of GiantsDLC included — that’s two extra characters, more seasons, new biomes, and, duh, giants.
Touch controls are also in, as expected. “Navigation for menus, maps, items, and crafting are all touch friendly, or you can use the classic button navigation,” says Klei.
The release date is unknown at this time, but this year seems like a reasonable expectation. The studio also says it is in the “final steps” of releasingReign of Giantson PS4. Speaking of that version of the game, no Cross-Buy — it was a PS Plus freebie already, and the DLC isn’t built in like it is forDon’t Starveon Vita — but there’s hope for savings by way of an upgrade plan.
