Digital concerts have become must-see events over the past few years with huge artists likeAriana Grandeand Lil Nas X “performing” their hit songs on the video game stages ofFortniteandRoblox, respectively. The Pokémon franchise has also got in on the action witha concert earlier this year featuring Post Maloneto celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Next week,Pokémon Gois joining in on the fun with a concert from Ed Sheeran.
Beginning Monday, November 22 at 11:00 am PST,Pokémon Goplayers will be able to experience a special performance from the Grammy-winning singer. Players can find the Ed Sheeran concert in the in-game News section of the menu. The performance will be live on the platform through November 30 at 1:00 pm PST.

According to the Pokémon Company, the Ed Sheeran concert will include six songs, including tracks from his album “=”and a few from his previous, better albums. Outside of the concert performance, players will encounter water-starter Pokémon like Totodile, Piplup, and Oshawott more frequently than normal. Water-type Pokémon are Sheeran’s favorite starter type, so the move makes sense. Players will also have a chance of encountering a Squirtle wearing sunglasses, which can also be obtained by completing Field Research tasks.
