Like in less than a month

One of the big announcements from Square Enix at E3 this year was the reveal ofFinal Fantasy VIII Remastered. With the rest of the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 eraFinal Fantasygames getting remade, remastered, and re-released, it was the odd-man-out and some thought –for whatever various reasons they found on the internet — that it simply wouldn’t get the same treatment.

Thankfully, Square Enix found a way to do it and you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of its labor soon enough as the publisher announced today a release date for the game.Final Fantasy VIII Remasteredwill release on Switch, Steam, PS4, and Xbox One on June 14, 2025. It will retail for $19.99.
