Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou’s manga,Gachiakuta, has received an official release window. The anime adaptation of the dystopian shonen manga is set to premiere in July this year. Unfortunately, the anime’s official accounts are yet to confirm the specific date.
The announcement also came with an official trailer, showcasing its graffitti-inspired art style. It also makes it clear how much heart and passion the team poured into the adaptation.
Production will be handled by the studio Bones Film, which is renowned for its work withMy Hero AcademiaandFull Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The first-time series director Fumihiko Suganuma will lead the production team.DAN DA DANandJUJUTSU KAISEN‘s Hiroshi Seko writes the series composition, whileDate A Live‘s Satoshi Ishino handles the series’ character designs. In addition, Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs) is creating music for the series.
Crunchyroll hassecured exclusive worldwide streamingrights for Gachiakuta, with availability in multiple regions except for Belarus, Russia, and most of Asia.

“Crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world!
Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash.
Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!”
