A new report saysRagnarokwill still arrive this year

One of Sony’s heavy-hitters this year may still be on target. A new report indicatesGod of War Ragnarokis on track for a November launch, with a release date reveal expected later this month.

Bloomberg reportsvia three sources familiar with the project thatGod of War Ragnarokis planned for November. This comes after anearlier reportthat the newGod of Warhad slipped to 2023.

Jason Schreier of Bloombergcast doubton the 2023 news yesterday. His new report seems to affirm thatRagnarokwill arrive this year. No dates are set in stone with development, but the report indicates that as of this week, it’s still on track for November. Bloomberg’s report does note thatRagnarokhas slipped internally. Earlier this year, it was reportedly set to arrive in September, but was recently bumped to November.

This is some reassuring news for fans who might have been concerned afterGod of War Ragnarokwas absent from both theSony State of Playand yesterday’sSummer Game Fest. The follow-up to 2018’sGod of Warhas been a hotly anticipated game since it wasfirst teased.

Whilesome ratings board movementindicatedRagnarokmay still be set for this year, today’s report adds some more certainty. As of this writing, Sony has not officially announced a date forGod of War Ragnarok, outside a 2022 window.
