Wearing the crimson mask

If the Vita were a wrestler, it would be Mankind. More specifically, it would be Mankind in his infamous Hell in a Cell match with the Undertaker. It’s a machine that Sony has proverbially thrown off the cage, chokeslammed through the roof, and left for dead. “Stop the match! Stop the damn match!” JR would probably scream.

But, the Vita just kicked out of a two-count. Resilient, tough little guy. Defying all odds, it made an appearance during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference. There are some new colors launching in Japan on December 1 — red and silver.

It’s not the resurgence many want for the Vita, but hey, at least it’s something. The Mick Foley of handhelds is still hangin’ tough.

(Oh, the red one’s not Mick, by the way; that’s The Big Red Machine and it’s wearing the crimson mask.)
