We sit at the eve of thenewest betafor the complex and attractive fighting sequelGuilty Gear Strive. The latest playtest, which kicks off on PS4 and PS5 tomorrow, May 13, will featureGG’ssexy starting roster in its fullest, including latter-day reveals Anji Mito and I-No.
As such, publisher Arc System Works has fired up its “Starter Guide” series, giving players a quick crash course on each and every one of the game’s highly skilled warriors. This morning sees the arrival of Anji Mito, the handsome, fan-waving fighter of questionable loyalties andthoseabs. Anji Mito returns to the franchise after successful prior appearances in previous iterations such asGuilty Gear XrdandGuilty Gear XX.
Anji has something on a crosshair on his forehead in theGGcommunity, as he has always been an absolute bugger to battle. This is due to not only his excellent defensive capabilities, but also the stoic fighter’s ability to control much of the battlefield. Anji’s fans have deceptively large hit-boxes, and most of yer boy’s attacks see him advance on the opponent at an amazing rate, leaving players feeling suffocated and overwhelmed by his deliberately paced attack chains. Add to this Anji’s powerful command counter skills and you have yourself a fighter absolutely determined to make sure you cannot find your “turn.”
