InWarcraft Rumble, the latest in the famed franchise by Blizzard, you may partake of a particularly fun mobile PvE experience using minis from the storied series. But did you know there’s also a PvP mode that can be unlocked with enough progress in the main mode? It’s true!

To add, if you enjoy the game’s PvE mode, you’ll definitely feel the same way about the PvP mode. That’s because they share a lot of the same mechanics and gameplay styles. Let’s go overWarcraft Rumble’s PvP mode, including how to unlock it and what differentiates it from the PvE mode!

How to unlock PvP in Warcraft Rumble?

To unlock PvP in Warcraft Rumble, you’ll need to play the PvE mode until you’ve accumulated 8 Onyxia Sigils. Onyxia Sigils are the red, coin-like collectibles that are earned with every successful boss beaten. They are also used to pave the way to bigger and badderbosses— for example, to challenge the boss of the Blackrock Mountains, you’ll need to earn 71 Onyxia Sigils.

In any case, earning 8 Onyxia Sigils means you’ll probably unlock PvP around the end of Westfall and the beginning of Duskwood.

How does PvP in Warcraft Rumble work?

PvP inWarcraft Rumbleis, as mentioned, a lot like the PvE mode. But, to help keep things fair and just, a lot of the more unpredictable elements of PvE are regulated in PvP.

For example: in PvP, the map is left out of the players hands and is rotated periodically. Likewise, towers and modifiers are also on a rotation to keep things interesting and challenging during the match. You can select your general from your collected minis, however.

In a PvP match, you’ll earn gold nuggets and deploy minis to damage your opponent’s towers as you would in an ordinary PvE match. But, because there’s another player on the other end, and because you have limited control over the map, towers, and modifiers, there’s an added layer of complication.

I had a narrow victory in my first PvP match, because even minis that would clear the field in PvE were having a tough time getting over to my enemy’s side. But it’s for that reason I can see myself playing this mode in addition to the PvE mode, rather than one or the other.
