RuneScape: Dragonwildsfeatures a variety of textiles, starting with Coarse fabric and Wool. As you advance deeper into the game, you’ll eventually unlock Swamp Thread, a rare material for advanced crafting. This guide will walk you through how to locate it and utilize it effectively.

You can make Swamp Thread byusing Swamp Weed at the Spinning Wheel. Swamp Weed can be found in theBloodblight Swamp, where it’s essential to keep an Anti-Poison Potion active at all times. Unfortunately, the Whispering Swamp doesn’t contain this resource, which means you won’t be able to collect Swamp Weed early in yourRuneScape: Dragonwildsplaythrough.

Like theAdhesive’sSwamp Tar, this weed can be hard to miss, as it is relatively small and hidden amongst the terrain’s glow. I’ve searched all around the area and discovered that the Swamp Weed spawns onthe shoresof theBloodblight Swamp, within these red circles:

Just stick near the large bodies of water to search for Swamp Weed. These green, seaweed-like plants blend almost perfectly with the swamp’s murky waters; some are partially hidden beneath the surface, so keep your eyes sharp for anything subtly rising from the water. Additionally, if you need to go into the poisonous water, you won’t take any damage, considering that the Anti-Poison Potion should protect you from it.

Although the fortress inside the Bloodblight shows a body of water on the map, you won’t find that many weeds there. They primarily spawn near the entrance of the swamp, the same area where you may obtainBlightwood. The only problem is the fact that Abyssal Demons tend to roam around here, making it all the more difficult to navigate through the Bloodblight Swamp. If you see one, you should attempt to build a Lodestone, just in case it ends up killing you.

Swamp Weed locations in RS: Dragonwilds

Besides the bodies of water, you may be able to find Swamp Weeds in caves at the Bloodblight. However, I’ve scoured this entire region and haven’t seen any caves with this specific material. You might still want to test your luck and see if you can uncover one of these elusive spots for yourself.

Use Swamp Thread tocraft high-level weaponry, such as the Blightwood Longbow and Shortbow. To put the power of these bows into perspective, the Blightwood Bow delivers 41 damage compared to the standard Oak Bow’s 28. That’s a solid upgrade, especially when dealing with distant targets. On the other hand, crafting gear like this requires rarer materials, includingJadeandVault Shards.

Picking up a Swamp Weed

I explored other potential uses for Swamp Thread inRuneScape: Dragonwilds, but aside from bows, there doesn’t seem to be much else. Even with an upgraded loom, no additional gear recipes appeared. Swamp Thread may be tied to a later phase of the game or reserved for endgame crafting. Whatever the case may be, I recommend storing it in your inventory, as you never know what future recipes might require it.
