Where to get Origin Wylk Gem in Monster Hunter Wilds
Only one location inMonster Hunter Wildsgenerates Origin Wylk Gem: theRuins of Wyveria. You don’t earn access to that location until near the end of theLow Rank story campaign, and you have tore-earn access to the Ruins in High Rank, as well.
Origin Wylk Gem is a special item, meaning it has no use while in a hunt. You’ll only find them by gathering from one of two points, calledWhitegleam Gemstone, in the Ruins. The first is on the south end of Area 7 on the second floor of the zone. The second is on the southeastern end of Area 9, also on the second floor.
you may only gather one Origin Wylk Gem per attempt, and the gathering point goes on a 15-minute cooldown once used. Thatshouldnetyou at a hard limit of eight Gems per hour, but there’s currently a (likely unintended) workaround.
After collecting, fast travel to any other region in the game, then immediately return to the Ruins of Wyveria.That should reset the timer, and you’re able to gather Origin Wylk Gems again.
What to do with Origin Wylk Gems in Monster Hunter Wilds
As they’re not consumables or crafting materials, there are only a few uses for Origin Wylk Gems. When used properly, however, they can be incredibly valuable. As of writing, there are two main uses for Origin Wylk Gems:
