There’s nothing more patriotic than using Stratagems to turn armies of bugs or bots into greasy smears in the name of freedom. But some explosives just do a better job than others, depending on the task. Here’s how to get even more Stratagems inHelldivers 2.
Stratagems need to be purchased at the Ship Management area on your ship. You’ll find it against the wall to the left before the entrance to the Bridge. It appears as a set of computer panels, and approaching it will cause the words ‘SHIP MANAGEMENT’ to appear. Activate it to enter the menu.
Where to purchase more Stratagems inHelldivers 2
Once you’re in the Ship Management menu, navigate to the ‘STRATAGEMS’ tab. The tab lists the 47 Stratagems the game offers, but most must be unlocked first. You start with the Machine Gun and Orbital Precision Strike stratagems already available.
Stratagems are categorized by type. You have Stratagems that call in special weapons, while others shower the battlefield with explosive ordnance.

You unlock more Stratagems inHelldivers 2by spending Requisition Slips, thein-game currencyyou earn by completing missions and objectives.Many Stratagems are also locked behind your level. You will need to keep playing the game and increasing your rank if you want to get higher-tier Stratagems.
Note the symbols on each Stratagem: Green with a checkmark means you have it unlocked; yellow with an open lock means you can purchase it; red with a closed lock means you can’t unlock it yet. Check what the game says at the bottom right to see how to unlock it.
How to pick your new Stratagems before the mission
After you buy more Stratagems, there’s no doubt you can’t wait to try them inHelldivers 2. To pick your Stratagems, you’ll have to choose a mission and hop into your Hellpod. The yellow squares in the ‘Mission Stratagems’ section are where you pick your new Stratagems. You only get four in addition to the ones you get by default for the mission, so choose well.
