Unlike some other games, the Map doesn’t come unlocked right out of the bat inSatisfactory1.0, and you need to complete a few steps before reaching there.

For a huge open-world game boasting features and resources to collect such asSatisfactory, the map plays one of the most important roles in tracking your progress. It gives you an idea of all the areas you’ve discovered so far and mark down places for, you know, future reference.

These resources are pretty easy to collect during the early game, and it’s best if you set up an automated system including Miners, Storage Containers, Smelters, Conveyor Belts, Constructors, and a lot of power.

How to access the Map

Once the map gets unlocked, you can access it by pressing the‘M’ button. The shortcut also shows up on the bottom-right of the screen along with other shortcuts, so you won’t miss out on it.

You can then place different markers for different locations. Let’s say you’ve chosen Grass Fields as astarting locationand discovered apure SAM Orespot nearby, you can mark it down for later.
