TheWarzone 2.0bomb drone is one of the scorestreaks you can find in battle royale game mode. There are two ways to obtain this streak, the first being in floor loot. You can occasionally find the drone when you search supply chests,lockers, and the like.
The other way you can possibly acquire the bomb drone is through purchasing it at buy stations. Either way, it functions the same. It is a drone that players manually control that feature a bomb attached to it. Sure, it is like other drones in that it can scout safely for your team.
However, the real draw here is not just gaining information. The idea is to locate an enemy and then blow up the drone to, hopefully, take them out in a single hit. All the while you are safe away from the harm. Unfortunately, using the bomb drone is easier said than done.

Warzone 2.0does a horrible job of explaining how the controls for the bomb drone works. First, you want to make sure you have the scorestreak equipped. This can be done by opening up the inventory and then selecting the bomb drone.
Once it is equipped, simply hit the scorestreak button that appears on your screen in the bottom right corner. For controller players, that will be the right button on the d-pad.
Once you do this, you’ll enter the bomb drone’s point of view and control it directly. You control its direction and movement using the left thumbstick for controller users. The left trigger makes the drone descend while the right trigger causes it to ascend.
Additionally, you may activate its thermal optics using the X (PlayStation) or A button (Xbox), depending on your controller type. Detonating the bomb drone, oddly enough, causes you to use the R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox) button.
How to best use the bomb drone in battle
In general, the best way to use theWarzone 2.0bomb drone is to find a safe spot in an indoor area or even have a teammate cover you. Manually use the drone to scope the area out and quickly learn some information about your surroundings.
The thermal attachment helps with locating targets. Once you find some enemies, your goal is to then detonate it as soon as possible before they can escape or shoot it down. Try your best to find a group of enemies and take them out at once for max results.
Lastly, try your best not to blow yourself up. This is a common mistake that some players make if they detonate it too close to their character’s location.
