More of this, please

In a surprisingly progressive move, Electronic Arts will offer full refunds on game downloads for Windows or Mac that are purchased on its distribution platform Origin. What’s the catch? There isn’t one, really. You just have to request the refund in the first 24 hours after launching the game, within seven days after the original purchase, or within the first seven days after the title’s release date if you pre-ordered — whichever of these happens first.

“We hope every game you play on Origin will meet this high bar, and we’re happy to say that starting today, we can guarantee that we’ll make things right if you decide the game you just bought didn’t live up to your expectations.”

The fine print isover here. The refund policy extends tofull EA games only, so DLC and the like aren’t covered. I’m hoping this catches on with third-party companies and other digital distributors; the inability to get refunds is one of my last remaining concerns with going purely digital.
