In time for the new movie
Over the past four-and-a-half years, Telltale has been on a mission to make games with its unique style of storytelling that are based on any sort of popular franchise. FromThe Walking DeadtoGame of ThronestoMinecraft— Telltale will seemingly try to partner with anyone if the appeal is broad enough.
One of its next projects looks to go hand-in-hand with a piece of media that will have some of the most mass appeal: A blockbuster comic book movie. As reported byUSGamer, the recentSAG-AFTRA voice actors’ strikelistsGuardians of the Galaxyas one of the titles its not striking against. It’s placed right next toThe Walking Dead: Season 3, and both games are named under O’Farrell Enterprises which is the production company that handles a lot of the voice over for Telltale.
This reveal falls right in line with a report from April 2015 thatTelltale inked a deal with Marvelto create a game based on one of its properties. That project was said to be scheduled for 2017.Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2releases on July 06, 2025. Everything lines up perfectly.
