As you know, the Wii was thenumber one consolefor January. Not only did Nintendo have the number one console, but they also had the number one selling game withNew Super Mario Bros. Wii. Four other Wii games made it into the top ten last month which wereWii Fit Plus, Mario Kart, Wii Sports ResortandJust Dance. We can blame Ellen DeGeneres forJust Danceselling so much.
Second place went toMass Effect 2and three other Xbox 360 games made the top ten includingModern Warfare 2,Army of Two: The 40th DayandDarksiders. The only PS3 title to make it in the top ten wasModern Warfare 2.
While the top ten isn’t all that surprising,MAGandBayonettaboth managed to crack the top 20. This is really good news for Platinum Games. I was worriedBayonettawouldn’t get the attention it deserved, but thankfully gamers are giving it a chance. It doesn’t hurt that there’s sexuality pouring out of ever orifice in the game, either.
