Developer Shin’en knows how to maximize a platform’s hardware

German developer Shin’en is quite thewunderkindon Nintendo platforms. The studio has a history of pulling off technically impressive feats, such as theIridionseries on Game Boy Advance and most recentlyNano Assault Neoon the Wii U eShop. But its most brilliant endeavor may beJett Rocket, a 3D platformer that not only matches some of the effects found inSuper Mario Galaxybut also manages to fit within WiiWare’s 40 MB size limit.

Shin’en recently announced a sequel toJett RocketentitledJett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai, and now you may see some screens on thenewly opened website.Jett Rocket IIwill be coming to the 3DS eShop, and it will provide a mix of 2D and 3D platforming gameplay. Most impressive of all, it’ll be one of the few 3DS games to achieve 60 FPS while in full 3D mode.

Ugly character design aside, this looks beyond amazing for an eShop title. Shin’en must have made a deal with the devil to be able to accomplish such trickery. No release date has been set, but I’ll be keeping my eye on this baby.
