New mixes cover chiptune, electronica, metal, and more
A year ago, chiptune artist C-jeff produced a very spiffy chip album entitledPreschtale. The seven-track release was inspired by several progressive rock bands, and the result was very “space-y,” for lack of a better word.
The album has inspired a bunch of other musicians in turn in the form ofPreschtale Variations. A much more expansive 16 tracks in length,Preschtale Variationsfeatures many guests reworking C-jeff’s original material in a variety of styles like acoustic and electronica. You might even recognize some of the contributors, which includeShnabubulaandMetroid Metal‘s Stemage.
