This achievement comes withrelatively good critical acclaim, and it currently has “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. Commenting on the milestone in a press release, Neowiz CEO Seungchul Kim stated that “this incredible milestone forLies of Pproves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage.”
Both South Korean studios should be very proud of their success, though it did not come easily, and Kim reveals that “theLies of Pproject was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio.” There were also a few minor controversies along the way, including theremoval of an anti-cop signin the game.
Developers are just beginning to enjoy the fruits of their labor, as the game has also received some notable award show nominations. This includes a “Best Visual Design” nomination atthis year’s Golden Joystick Awards ceremony.
