you may take theFallout: New Vegasout of the silly, but you can’t take the silly out ofFallout: New Vegas. Or something like that. At any rate, someone has managed to make modding history by finding an old file that was thought to have been lost to the annals of time.

This one is very much for you late ’90s/early 2000s nu-metal fans. As spotted byPC Gamer, Twitch streamer Micky D (via Twitter user UsagiCola) has re-uploaded a mod forNVthat adds Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit fame as a companion. Whenever you interact with him, he can only reply in snippets from some of the band’s music.

Ladies and Gentlemen, today we’ve made modding history…The Limp Bizkit mod for Fallout: New Vegas has been found and restored!Huge shoutout to@UsagiColafor archiving the files!Link to the Google doc down below 👇pic.twitter.com/nnUoTxkiFu

Neither Micky D nor UsagiCola are the original creators of the mod. The story goes that modder lb8068 created and uploaded it around seven years ago. However, after formatting their computer, they lost the files.

It’s my way, my way or the (abandoned) highway

The person who has brought it back from the dead said they just happened to have it on their hard drive. As such, we can once again enjoy the stylings of Durst as he accompanies us across the Mojave Desert. you’re able to download the mod fromhere.

Ah, I remember the nu-metal days. Spiky hair, baggy JNCOs, no deodorant. Good times. Limp Bizkit was definitely at the forefront of the genre, even if Durst himself was pretty much the embodiment of a skater douche.

Personally, I wouldn’t really want him singing and rapping at me while I playFallout, but it’s nice to know that the mod has found a new home. We should all celebrate video game preservation. Whatever form it comes in.
