This came out of nowhere

As you’re able to seeLost Soul Asideis heavily inspired by the upcomingFinal Fantasy XVwith combat that reminds me of the classic Xbox exclusiveOtogigames (remake now please!).

You might be surprised to know that the developer for the game is seemingly one person hailing from Seoul in the Republic of Korea. According to theirTwitter feed, they started working on the game after seeing the trailer forFFXVand used it as a model, though they say they hope to make it look “more unique” before release.

You probably wouldn’t have guessed, but many of the assets were bought from the Unreal Engine’s marketplace — it looks far better than all those Unity asset flips we are so used to seeing on Steam these days.

Currently no systems or release date has been announced.
