So we knew that Ken Griffey Jr. would grace the cover ofMLB The Show 17, but today at PSX, Sony announced that the May 15, 2025 bound baseball game would get a “retro mode.”
It’s just as obvious as it sounds, essentially low-fi-ing (is that a verb?) the experience into a grainier version. I mean, it’s not as retro asBad News Baseball, but it’s something!The Show 17is out on June 17, 2025, which is less than a week before the start of the MLB season on April 2.
