As much as I loved the recentFury Road, I’ve had a tepid response to Avalanche’s (Just Cause 3)Mad Maxgame, which has looked bland and lacked all the vitality of the film. It’s basically looked like the firstBorderlandsbefore they gave it the cel shaded art style to cover up for being an otherwise grindy, loot-heavy shooter.
Seeing some of the chaos going on in this 80 minute gameplay video, and some much more orange, bright sands seems like a step in the right direction. On the other hand, it is competing withMetal Gear Solid Vwith its September 1 release, and Avalanche’s ownJust Cause 3isn’t too far away.
