Um, what? Nintendoalready blundered the original Wii Uin terms of hard drive space, as the system couldn’t even fit one of its major titles at launch without an external hard drive. My issue is that although most of us know how to buy a cheap $50 HDD and simply plug it in, you’re alienating a ton of casual users who don’t partake in technology trends. This could have been alleviated with thumb drive support, whicheveryonehas at this point, but Nintendo quietly states that you’re not supposed to use USB sticks on the Wii U, even though they technically work....

Very rad While big publishers are announcing new games out of thin air this year, indie developers have been hard at work unveiling their creations too: including this new eye-turning game from developer Blastmode/MP2 calledMighty Goose. With geese being all the rage now it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time; and the Nitrome-esque art style combined with theMetal Sluggameplay is going to be an instant sell for a lot of people....

Slam ’em Despite troubles at Codemasters, theOnRushteam is still trucking with updates for the game, which includes the addition of ranked play and a “Summer Slam” event. The former will drop on August 13, and the latter hits August 27, which brings in “new celebrations, new epic character outfits, new epic vehicle shells, new epic liveries, XP bonuses and new Tombstones.” While Summer Slam’s aesthetic looks neat, the real rub is howOnRushis stepping up its online infrastructure....

Weapon and power-up spawns tweaked as well Yesterday’sHalo 4War Games update has brought more than a few new additions. From weapons, maps, and gametypes, there’s a good amount of tweaking here. Chief among them has to be the laundry list of overhauls to the weapon balance. These include increased damage for many weapons including the battle rifle, SAW, assault rifle, suppressor, magnum, storm rifle, and the chain guns on both the Mantis and Warthog....
