Classic gaming favorites remixed and rapped I’ve heard Lucio Baldomero’s rapping skills live a few times atMAGFest, accompanying my favorite game music cover band, The OneUps. He’s just released his first full-length album,The Master System, which features some excellent (R-rated) raps to some of your favorite gaming classics includingMega Man 2,Ninja Gaiden,Castlevania III,Street Fighter II,Star Fox, and more. And that tie to The OneUps? Mustin produces a number of the tracks on the album while others stay true to their original source material, which I can’t complain about given the caliber of tracks selected....

That’s definitely the case here with highwindstryker, who uses Revali’s Gale to swoop up into the air to launch apples from a tree — and immediately engaging in a made-up minigame of sorts to shoot them all....

HoYoverse has announced another new character, Hugo, for theZenless Zone Zero1.7 update via the latest round of drip marketing on the game’s official social media. He is one of the only two new Agents to debut in the new version, which is expected to go live on June 27, 2025. Interestingly, Hugo is also from the Mockingbird faction, which is a criminal group. Is this the end for Call of Duty? That’s right,Farming Simulator 17, a game about being a modern farmer and driving expensive tractors is currently destroying the just-releasedCall of Duty: Infinite Warfareon Steam, at least numbers wise. According toSteam’s own stats,Farming Simulator 17is number 23 on the top 100 games list (at the time of writing) with 26,044 players today, whileInfinite Warfareis number 36 with over 10,000 less at 15,436 players....

A new Mario adventure is on the way, and a special console is arriving just a few weeks prior. A Mario Red Edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED is set to debut on July 23, 2025. While the outside may seem simple enough, it’s the accents that give this Switch a bit more of a Mario touch....

Last week,we brought wordof a petition asking Namco Bandai to releaseDark Soulson PC. At last count, there were 13,000 signatures. Now, there are over 48,000 and the number keeps climbing. Just two hours ago (at the time of writing), the signatures were at 46,000. Porting such a large game would be a huge undertaking, and with PC piracy fears forever present in the minds of publishers, it seems like Namco Bandai will be a tough nut to crack....

Zombies are great, aren’t they? Damn right they are. As enemies of humanity they are persistent, deadly and singularly driven to accomplish their goals. As mirrors into the soul of mankind, they are unmatched in the history of supernatural villainy. And, sometimes, they’re just kinda funny. Burn Zombie Burnis a game where the art style would suggest that latter purpose for the undead marauders was the focus of the designers. After a brief amount of play, however, it quickly becomes apparent that these aren’t any more cute or cuddly than what you’d find in a George Romero film....

Cause for celebration Klei Entertainment said itwas looking intobringingDon’t Starveto PS Vita and the studio confirmed today that it’s moving forward with the port. This version will launch with theReign of GiantsDLC included — that’s two extra characters, more seasons, new biomes, and, duh, giants. The Last of Usis beautiful. During the demo at the Sony press conference, I gasped several times. And not even because of the action on-screen. That was cool, too, but the game was so gorgeous I couldn’t help but stare in awe of what Naughty Dog can do with videogames. They are incredibly talented. This is definitely going to be one of those games where I stand in place and spin the camera around and around just so I can take in the beautiful scenery....

Consider my System Shocked Irrational Games is dead. Well, not really. Earlier this year, the studio known for titles likeBioShockandSystem Shock 2rebranded itself as Ghost Story Games, the final step in a shift away from its triple-A pedigree towards a tight-knit indie studio. During this process, founder Ken Levine laid off all but 15 employees at Irrational Games in order to pursue the desire to be, “a small team making games for the core gaming audience....

Next year it’s happening March 2 – 6 This year’s Game Developers Conference was another record-breaker: 24,000 attendees from the game industry descended on San Fransico’s Moscone Center, up from 23,000 last year. GDC 2015 is set for March 2 – 6, which is going to be planning nightmare given that PAX East 2015 is apparentlyset forMarch 6 – 8. There can only be one. And I’m leaning toward the former....
