Dr. Richard Garfield, creator ofMagic: The Gatheringand Gary Games, the company behindAscension: Chronicle of the Godslayer, have teamed up to create a new digital collectable game which is still looking for funds on Kickstarter,SolForge.It’s for PC, Android, and iOS, and the game apparently merges the stategy and depth of more traditional collectable card games with the convenience and ease of an online game.SolForge‘s primary mechanic is the transformation of cards, which level up, gain new powers, and even change artwork — which is a pretty cool addition....

For now, we can look at some facts. TheSonic Frontierslength is looking like “20-30 hours” according to director Morio Kishimoto (who spoke to IGN). Naturally, that length is variable. Kishimoto also claims that it’ll take “double” that length to clear everything and go for 100%, and a “character progression” system (which involves a skill tree and leveling) is supposed to keep people playing through that journey....
