Multiple games in the works Developer Funcom is working with Legendary Studios to develop a new open-world, multiplayer title based on theDuneseries. Set to enter pre-production sometime this year, the game is the first in a line of multipleDuneprojects that Funcom will be working on. The company has entered a six-year licensing agreement with Legendary and it seems this first title will be released to promote the upcoming Denis Villeneuve directedDunefilm....

I’m not sure what to make of this trailer for the upcoming Wii and DS game,Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The game appears to be a 2D platform/brawler, which I totally approve of. And it’s visually appealing even if I don’t care for the art direction in the animated series the game is based upon. But the announcer is awful. He reminds me of the over-the-top announcer guy who used to talk over the credits of cartoons on the WB in afternoons....

DICE is going to implement some form of SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) inBattlefield 6‘s multiplayer, but, if past talks are still true, it won’t be the same SBMM we’ve gotten used to. It’ll instead focus on team balance rather than matching the best with the best, like inCoD. According to Insider Gaming, DICE has discussedBF6‘s multiplayer and specifically mentioned that SBMM will be implemented in the game to some degree. The report states SBMM will take ping, player location, server availability, and skill factors into account, though the exact way it’ll do it remains unclear....

It’s no secret that the JRPG genre has suffered from a considerable quality deficiency lately. Truly great Japanese RPGs come along once in a blue moon these days, and the most promising titles often turn out to be the biggest disappointments.
