Ooooh! PlayStation Vita gets FCC clearing, coming soon

Ooooh!I actually said that out loud when I heard that the PS Vita had cleared the FCC. The FCC clearing is typically the final step before a consumer electronics product gets shipped to retailers. This means that the Vita, Sony model PCH-1101 P, is on its way soon. Here’s hoping those fall release rumors hold up! You don’t have to be excited. I’ll be excited for you. Take my money, Sony....

PSA: Wizards made the final Magic: Arena M20-era XP event a little more forgiving

‘Less grindy’ We’re nearing the end of the first Mastery [Season] Pass forMagic: Arena, and the whole run has been a rollercoaster. First up, Wizards did the unthinkable and added an XP cap to the pass, forcing people to play daily if they wanted to maximize their progress. That was swiftly changed to a more lenient “15 games per week plus quest XP” cap, but the cap existed nonetheless. There was still an element of FOMO (fear of missing out) inherent in the pass, as there was no way to grind out XP on your own time: you had to follow the schedule Wizards set, including limited-run bonus XP events....

Resident Evil 2 shows the new and improved Licker

Capcom nailed the teeth As much as I’ve tried to leave some surprises left unseen for theResident Evil 2remake, I couldn’t possibly resist checking out Capcom’s updated look for the Licker. That name is still beyond silly, and the design is still top notch. The creature seems as creepy and in-pain as it first did two decades ago. Here’s the iconic scene from back in 1998. And below you’ll find a gallery of new screenshots with Lickers looking as gross as ever....

Rushdown is perfect for reusing Destiny 2 content and I wish it was sticking around

Destiny 2has a new activity featured for the 2025 Guardian Games, and it’s just what the game needs. Rushdown pits players against encounters from Campaigns and other narrative missions, revitalizing content that would otherwise remain unplayed. The only problem with Rushdown? It’s only around for three weeks. There’s a ton of content inDestiny 2, but only so much of it is regularly experienced. The game has myriad Exotic, Campaign, and other missions, but most players will only play through each once, if at all....

SDCC: Hello Kitty also going plushie with Street Fighter

At the last San Diego Comic-Con, Capcom announced apartnershipwith Sanrio to dress Hello Kitty in all kinds ofStreet Fightergetups. It’s a grand collaboration spanning multiple pieces of merch, but I’m surprised it took this long to actually yield plush dolls. I would have thought those would be among the first products to appear. At the Toynami booth this year, we can catch a glimpse of Chun-Li and the ironically more adorable M....
