On the subject ofForza, Spencer noted the first two titles had issues hitting release deadlines, but said having a racing game day one — an analog to competitors’Gran Turismo(and I guessDrive Club) andMario Kart— was important to the launch. I just hope story mode delivers I always like the idea of getting deep into fighting games, but my interest tends to wax and wane. Sometimes, I’ll have delusions of grandeur, and get all fired up thinking I can stick with a single game for long enough to become competitive (and more importantlystaycompetitive) in online bouts. Other times, I’m perfectly content to sit on the sidelines and just watch the pros do their thing at Evo....

Acclaim boss David Perry has stated that Sonyhas no chanceof making a worthwhile profit from the PlayStation 3 after selling the consoles at a loss. Putting the cost of the PS3 into perspective, Perry claims that Sony has lost more money on the system so far than it made during the PlayStation 2’s entire five year sales peak. “Because of the cost of making the PlayStation 3 and because they sold it at a loss, Sony basically has pretty much no chance of making money on the PS3, because it’s lost more money than they made during the entire peak of the PlayStation 2 – it’s not going to happen again for Sony,” stated Perry....

That’s how much time I had spent on Mars before THQ snatched the Xbox 360 away from me that contained a near-final build ofRed Faction: Guerrilla, Volition’s upcoming open-world third-person shooter.
