Biting personality quizzes, but tons of repetition I’ve hit a bit of a wall inMonark. I know I’m about to walk into a new story beat, which means new characters, stories, and probing questions about my desires. Moving ahead means a new antagonist to fight, more puzzles to solve, and even another fresh track to score the chapter’s boss fight, which has been pretty compelling so far. Progress inMonarkalso means setting aside time to grind out battles, in a series of arenas that do little to differentiate themselves, and writing that varies from introspective and thoughtful to bizarre twists and tired tropes....

PlayStation Event, New York, 02/20/13 Sony showed off the Unreal Engine 4 running in “real time” on prototype hardware today at the PlayStation 4 event. Using GPU accelerated systems, Sony was able to show off a demo running on the GPU, not the CPU. Sony lead architect Mark Cerny stated that the PS4 will feature “easy conversion path from the PC world,” with 8 CPU cores, 2 teraflops computational performance streamlined access to common network GDDR 5 memory....

Danger Deck In their first supplemental endeavor, the superheroes of South Park take on, well, everything they possibly can. This extra fighting is literally just for the sake of some extra fighting. South Park: The Fractured but Whole‘s introductory add-on released today. TitledDanger Deck, this piece of DLC is nothing more than a series of combat situations against all types of enemies that are already in the game. Postured as a set of training sequences for the superhero kids, a previously-empty room in the Freedom Pals’ base has been retrofitted with iPads to launch the various scenarios....
