I blame the fookin prawns
Brian Michael Bendis (one of the creators of thePowerscomic series and showrunner for the television show), took to Twitter to announce that thePowersTV series has been canceled. No reason was given and Bendis notes that he’ll share more “later,” but thanks fans for their support.
Having watched it, I have thoughts. Sure, it was cheesy at times, but it had a pretty spot-on cast that worked within the confines of their budget. A budget, mind, that Sony never really afforded for the show, which made due with lots of practical effects. Since Sony never released ratings we might not find out how popular it was, or if something else caused the split.
