Steve Wozniak, computer wizard and one of the founding fathers of Apple, has boasted about his mad Game BoyTetrisskillson severaloccasions. According to Steve, he still walks around town armed with a few Game Boy Lights (Japanese-exclusive backlit GB model) and severalTetrispaks. He apparently goes through copies of the game like toilet paper, buying additional paks on eBay whenever his older ones get stolen, lost, or presumably worn out from obsessive use.

Steve was such a beast that he constantly dominatedNintendo Power‘s monthly high score lists: “I was always #1 in theNintendo Powerlistings in 1988, and after they said my name had been in there too many times and wouldn’t print it again, I spelled my name backwards (Evets Kainzow) and sent in a photo of my score.” His deception was so good that he even fooled himself momentarily before realizing that he used a fake name.

Of course, none of this is exactly new news. What we’ve been missing thus far is actual evidence. But thanks toreddit user polar0ids, who scanned his July 1991 issue ofNintendo Power, we now have proof of Steve’s dedication to schooling little children hardcore. My hats off to the master!
