Get your Greninja while you can!
In case you missed it,thePokemon Scarlet & VioletGreninja event is underway, and there are two opportunities to catch it. Once youdoget one just like the prior event Pokemon, they can be bred! Here’s what you get when you do it.
Bring Greninja and Ditto to a picnic
Just likeCharizardandCinderace, you can hatch an egg with a Ditto and a Greninja at a picnic and create a Froakie. This effectively gets by the “only one Greninja can be caught per save file” restriction for the Tera Raid event.

InPokemon Scarlet & Violet, Froakie still evolves into Frogadier at level 16, and Greninja at level 36
The evolutionary methodology is the same as the old game line, so you may evolve Froakie into Frogadier (level 16) into Greninja (level 36) on your own terms, and completely raise a brand new Pokemon.
