Might be a port, might not
Dr. Serkan Toto, the CEO of a Tokyo-based game industry consultancy, has taken to Twitter to reveal some inside information from an unnamed source. Supposedly, Bandai Namco has several titles in development for Nintendo’s upcoming hardware codenamed NX, one of which isSuper Smash Bros.
Toto says he is unsure of when exactly the NX will launch, and there is no word on whether this will be a brand new game or a port ofSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Considering how different the 3DS and Wii U versions ofSmash Bros. are, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have an NX version with its own exclusive features. Personally, I’d really like something that resembles a story mode again. You hear that, Nintendo?
