Square Enix is taking one of its venerable franchises in a new direction withStar Ocean: Material Trader. A social role-playing game, the forthcoming title will eschew the series’ traditional roots in favor of a card-based experience for mobile platforms.
Series producer Yoshinori Yamagishi is on board and is working alongsideCircle of Manateam Hippos Lab to bring the game to iOS and Android devices later this year.
