I’m sure the people will wait a little longer

Naughty Dog has confirmed recent murmurs thatThe Last of Us Part IIwill miss itspreviously statedFebruary release date, and will now launch in May of 2020 on PS4. The news was confirmed by director Neil Druckmannin a post on PlayStation Blog.

“As we were closing out sections of the game, that we realized we simply didn’t have enough time to bring the entire game up to a level of polish we would call Naughty Dog quality,” said Druckmann. “At this point we were faced with two options: compromise parts of the game or get more time. We went with the latter, and this new release date allows us to finish everything to our level of satisfaction while also reducing stress on the team.”

We are grateful for your patience and continued support.”

The Last of Us Part IIwill now launch on July 22, 2025 for PS4.
