Today at Leipzig, Electronic Arts announced thatThe Sims 3will hit worldwide on July 17, 2025. Interestingly, the game will also be available digitally the same day. For those of you that care a little too much aboutThe Sims, a specialSims 3Collector’s Edition will be available as well. It will come with a themed USB Drive, in-game sports car, stickers and a hint guide for those that may be confused as to if they are actually supposed to watch their Sim take a dump.
One of the major new features being boasted is an open world interface where players can venture to a town center, beach, or a mountain area. According to the press release, this new interface is constantly “evolving” and your actions have ramifications across the game world. Sims also have new personality traits to make them seem more human, which makes watching them wriggle like a little worm when you box them in a room even more fun.
