‘Full 1080p, with steady 60 FPS’

Sony’s lineup around the PlayStation 4’s launch just got a bit more magical. Frozenbyte has revealed thatTrine 2: Complete Storywill be available as a downloadable title on PlayStation Network at (or soon after) the new console’s grand introduction to the world.

By the sound of it,Trine 2: Complete Storywill have some significant upgrades to warrant its arrival on PS4. According to Frozenbyte, it runs in full 1080p at a steady 60 frames per second, with stereoscopic 3D support. The game will feature 20 levels, including theGoblin Menaceexpansion, as well as a secret unlockable level.

The developers also boast that there’s an intuitive control scheme that’s designed to take advantage of the DualShock 4’s touch strip. I can’t wait to see how many games actually make good on this claim, and how many are just shoehorned in and completely unnecessary. Regardless, I’m sure it’ll be a solid experience no matter how effective this feature is.Trine 2: Complete Storyis expected to cost $20 at release, but price is not yet confirmed.
