Fans of HBO’sTrue Bloodwill easily recognize the real-world woman behind Lara Croft’s voice and movements inTomb Raider. Today it was revealed that actress Camilla Luddington was chosen in an international talent search to be Lara’s voice for the upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 release, which serves as a franchise prequel. The 29-year-old is also the performance talent for Lara, meaning that she’ll do all of the required mo-cap for the character.

Theofficial Tomb Raider blogsays that Luddington will appear at next month’s San Diego Comic-Con to discuss her role in panels.

“This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right,” said Darrell Gallagher, head of studio at Crystal Dynamics. “This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice acting than ever before as we take the franchise in a new direction.”
