The rights reverted

The Call of Juarez series has a pretty dedicated following, but sadly new fans are going to have trouble getting into a few of the newest entries if they’re looking to go digital. Several weeks ago Ubisoft pulled Call of Juarez Gunslinger and The Cartel from every marketplace, both on consoles and PC.

The reason for the pull is simple, says Ubisoft — they no longer have the rights to them. Speaking to Game Informer, Ubisoft noted: “Per the terms of agreement,Call of Juarez The CartelandCall of Juarez Gunslingerlicensing/publishing rights have reverted back to Techland, while others remain active with Ubisoft. This is why a few titles have recently been removed from Steam, but it is our understanding that Techland is working to bring those titles back, so please feel free to reach out to Techland regarding status.”
