You don’t need a gym when you have a 3DS and elliptical machine, I’ve realized in recent months. PlayingFire Emblemwhile working my calfs is both great fun and great fitness, yet my mind has been wondering what else is out there. TheVirtuix Omniis out there.
The Omni (by Virtuix) is a full-body enclosed interface that is to be paired with virtual reality. It’s kind of like a crazier, state-of-the-art version of theSega Activatororthose goofy machinesyou’d find at Six Flags in the ’90s. The latest Omni demo shows an intense match ofTeam Fortress 2amplified by the combination ofOculus Riftvirtual reality gear.
