Wii players can’t handle the concept of war, CONFIRMED! Activision has today confirmed thatTransformers: War for Cybertronwill be heading to Wii with the less threatening name ofTransformers: Cybertron Adventures. This new name applies only to the Wii version. The DS version will still be known asWar for Cybertron, as well as the 360/PSN alternative.
It’s not yet known how different the Wii version will be. Perhaps it will work likeGhostbustersdid, where the Nintendo system gets a more kid-friendly artistic style and content. Right now, Activision has only confirmed a name change, so it may just be the same game. We’ll have to wait for the assets to start pouring in.
War for Cybertronaims to be a comfortable middle ground between old school G1Transformersand the current Michael Bay atrocities. With slightly redesigned but noticeably traditional looks for the robots in disguise, the game has serious potential. I sincerely hope it’s good, as I could do with a funTransformersgame. They’re so few and far between.
